(more bike pics by special request from the Big Man :)

Ancient ceremony for the sending off of unused toiletteries bags
the rest of the ceremony is secret & could not be photographed
The first stretch of road from Granada to the Costa Rican border is rough, so much so that I lost a bolt holding the fairing to the frame
a local teller mechanico sorted it in minutes ...
and as we passed Ometepe island we couldn't resist visiting & so turned back

any old iron ?

the local trabadores make quick work of shifting the bike onto a slippery deck

There's not a lot holding the bike on ...

one assumes that the passage will be on a millpond

that's my 'not too happy about this' look

the lake gets lively & Sara sits it out

whilst Scouse holds the bike in place with his booted foot
wary that the bike will slide over on it's side & slither into the watery depths, the crew apply more tethers :)

so Scouse can enjoy the view

volcans Concepcion (left) and Madera (right)

we fire off into the night, but roads on the island are potholed, rutted, if any vehicle has lights then they're playing games, and animals wander without lights too ...

so we retrace our steps & find a local gaff
the place wasn't too deer
further around the island the road deteriorates into a corrugated dried mudbath

but natives are friendly

and views are good
we settle for a cabana by the lakeside
