What Does An Acupuncture Session Involve ?

Initial session This usually lasts between an hour and 90 minutes, and comprises a consultation about your health, medical history and lifestyle.

Pulses are read, which correspond to the main meridians and their associated organs, followed by the actual treatment.

Following sessions Usually last 30 minutes to 1 hour, comprise questioning, pulses and treatment.

Treatment can be : Needles, Moxibustion, Laser, Acupressure and Massage

The number and frequency of treatments vary with the individual, depending upon the severity or depth of a complaint, how long the person has suffered with the complaint, what drugs are being taken, etc.

Most people begin with weekly sessions, progressing to one session every 2 or 3 weeks as conditions improve, then to monthly intervals to maintain a balance of health.
